Fee Structure & Costs
Transparent Billing. No Surprises.
At Wang Law PLLC, we believe that trust begins with transparency. We strive to provide clear, upfront pricing models tailored to the complexity of your case, ensuring you understand exactly what you are paying for—and why.
Our Legal Fee Models
1. Flat Fees
Price Certainty
For most immigration petitions and defined legal transactions, we offer a Fixed Flat Fee. This covers all legal work required to prepare and file your case, regardless of how many hours our team spends on it.
- Common for: H-1B, EB-5, Green Card filings, and Incorporation.
- Benefit: You know the total cost upfront. No watching the clock.
2. Hourly Rates
For Complex Issues
For legal consultations, complex litigation, or matters where the scope of work is unpredictable, we bill by the hour. Time is tracked in 6-minute increments (0.1 hour).
- Common for: RFE Responses (complex), Mandamus litigation, corporate advisory, and contract review.
- Benefit: You only pay for the exact time utilized.
3. Contingency Fees
Performance Based
In specific civil litigation matters, we may work on a contingency basis. This means our legal fee is a pre-agreed percentage of the amount recovered.
- Common for: Civil damages claims. (Rarely applicable to standard immigration visa cases).
- Benefit: No legal fees unless we win or settle your case.
Third-Party Costs & Expenses
Please note that Legal Fees do not include third-party expenses (“Disbursements”). Clients are responsible for all out-of-pocket costs incurred during the representation. These are billed at cost, with no markup.
Government & Court Fees
- USCIS Filing Fees: (e.g., I-140, I-485, Biometrics).
- Premium Processing Fees: (Form I-907).
- Court Filing Fees: Federal or State court costs.
- Department of State Fees: Visa issuance / Reciprocity fees.
Administrative & Vendor Fees
- Translations: Certified translation of foreign documents.
- Evaluations: Education credential evaluations (e.g., WES).
- Expert Opinions: Payments to industry experts for letters.
- Logistics: Notary, Courier (FedEx/UPS), and Printing costs.
*All third-party fees will be itemized on your invoice. For large expenses (such as USCIS filing fees), we typically require the client to issue a separate check directly to the agency.
